When we woke up on Monday we went straight back to the internet cafe since we still had no groceries or, more importantly, no coffee. Monday was the first day Jess and Steve were going to work from our AirBnB and we had been struggling to get the wifi to maintain a consistent connection the night before, which, for Steve working remote and having a lot of zoom meetings, was a big issue. Giulia was working again and now that we were semi-oriented to Ulassai we were able to ask better questions. Climbing was an additional couple hundred meters up the road to Torre dei Venti (Tower of Wind) which was discouraged on windy or chilly days for obvious reasons. It was sunny, beautiful and a perfect day for it.

The view from Torre dei Venti was amazing. Jess and I climbed three fives and Alex and Steve climbed two fives and a 6a+, we didn’t have time to swap routes or we would have gotten four in. Note for tomorrow’s climbing: get up a bit earlier and do breakfast and coffee at the AirBnB so we have more time before Jess and Steve log in for work at 2pm.
