On our last Sunday based in Ulassai we drive south to Cava Usai to experience climbing on dramatic and beautiful rock formations with a sea of turquoise water at our backs.

The drive was so beautiful. A mix of tiny roads barely wide enough for another car to pass in the opposite direction and some well designed “highways” with picturesque bridges flowing through the mountains.

On the way back we stopped in a little tourist beach town called Villasimius for pizza and gelato. No photos of this

The drive back to Ulassai was picturesque, mostly through a valley until we got closer to to the mountains by Ulassai.

Back in Ulassai we ended the evening as we normally did sharing a plate of prosciutto, cheese, olives, and of course having some local wine.
